Dallas Animal Services (DAS) is a department of the City of Dallas responsible for animal sheltering, pet adoption, animal control, and community animal-welfare services. Dallas Animal Services has served as the City of Dallas animal-services operation for many years. The current Animal Services and Adoption Center at 1818 N. Westmoreland Road opened in 2007 as a modern facility designed to support sheltering, adoptions, animal care, and lost-and-found services. DAS has continued expanding community programs, field operations, and lifesaving initiatives, including the Dallas90 campaign.
